ISIHF World Championships (Finland, May 2012)
Game 1
Canada 16 - Latvia 4

Team Canada defeated Latvia 16-4 in the opening game of the 2012 ISIHF World Amputee Hockey Championships. The defending world champs built a 4-0 lead by the end of the first period and added six more in the second. Although veteran Julien Belanger led the team in scoring with two goals and five assists, the rookies on the Canadian team made a strong statement with goaltender Neil Kelley picking up his first win, defenceman Brandon Cousineau scoring his first goal, forward Sean Venedam scoring three more and defenceman Max Ramalho earning the Canadian Player Of The Game award. Kory Lorentz also recorded three goals with Kevin Delaney and Jacob Vader scoring two each and Tom Rinn, Scott Stafford and Brad Blenkhorn rounding out the scoring.

Game 2
Canada 7 - Finland 3

Team Canada captain Kory Lorentz recorded his second hat trick in as many games to lead Canada to a 7-3 victory over Finland. Canada led 3-0 at the end of the first period with Scott Stafford scoring the first two goals of the game and extended the lead to 6-1 by the end of the second. Brad Blenkhorn and Tom Rinn also scored for Canada. Jarret Dark picked up the victory in net. Stafford was also chosen the Canadian Player of the Game. Friday Canada will play their final game of the round robin against the U.S. who defeated Latvia 4-2 in their second game after tying Finland 1-1 in their opener.

Game 3
Canada 6 - USA 1

Team Canada outshot the U.S. 44-9 Friday en route to a 6-1 victory and earned a meeting with Finland in the gold medal game Saturday. Scott Stafford opened the scoring as he has in all three round robin games with Kory Lorentz, Tom Rinn, Julien Belanger, Sean Venedam and Kevin Delaney adding singles. Jarret Dark picked up the win in net and Jacob Vader was chosen Canadian Player of the Game.

Medal Round - Bronze Medal Game
Latvia 5 USA 4 (OT)

In a remarkable come-back, Latvia overcame a strong US Team to take the Bronze medal. Trailing by 2 goals with less than 6 minutes left, Latvia tied the game, and then had to kill a penalty in the final 2 minutes to send the game to overtime.

Medal Round - Gold Medal Game
Canada 6 Finland 3

In a hard fought battle with a strong Finnish team, Canada won its 6th consecutive gold medal at the ISIHF World Championships by a score of 6-3. Canadian goals scored by Kory Lorentz, Kevin Delaney, Sean Venedam, Julien Belanger, Brad Blenkhorn and Scott Stafford. The Canadian Player of the Game was Jarret Dark.
