Advisory Board

The Canadian Amputee Hockey Committee has assembled a group of accomplished, influential individuals who feel that the Team’s remarkable achievements should be recognized and supported, and who believe that all amputees deserve the chance to enjoy Canada’s pastime. The mandate of our Advisory Board is to:
  • Provide advice and guidance toward the ongoing development of the National and Regional programs

  • Raise awareness of the Team and it’s success

  • Liaise annually with a designated member of the CAHC Executive
The CAHC is pleased to have the members of our Advisory Board as an integral part of our Team.
  Dr. John Fast
John Fast is the author of the highly acclaimed "The Family Business Doctor." John is also the founder of The Centre For Family Business at the University of Waterloo and an international expert on family business succession and business transition strategies. He is currently the president of Family Enterprise Solutions, a training and consulting organization based in Waterloo. He has also co-founded retail and software companies both in the US and Canada.
     
  Paul Lucier
Paul Lucier is the Vice President, Global Carriers at Research In Motion (RIM), where he manages a global sales team responsible for RIM’s relationships with over 80 channel partners worldwide. His previous roles at RIM have included managing all Department of Defense sales for RIM and working with government security agencies in the USA, Canada and Europe to certify the BlackBerry solution to support strict public sector data security requirements. Paul holds degrees in Communications from University of Windsor and Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University.
     
  M. Scott MacPherson
Originally from Toronto, Scott is the President of a business development company called International Management Associates. As well as his duties with IMA, he also owns junior hockey franchises in Massachusetts and Vermont, and is the VP of Business Development for the famed Red Army hockey club, CSKA, in Moscow, Russia. Scott has three children, Michaela, Ashley and George.
     
  Ian "Scotty" Morrison
Ian "Scotty" Morrison is a former National Hockey League referee and vice-president, and the former president and chairman of the Hockey Hall of Fame. Scotty became the NHL's vice-president of project development in 1986, after more than 20 years as the NHL’s referee-in-chief and VP of officiating. He was then assigned to the Hockey Hall of Fame where he was made president, and served in that role until 1991 when he became chairman of the Hall of Fame. Morrison led the Hall of Fame through its relocation from the grounds at Exhibition Place to its present site in downtown Toronto, and retired in 1998. Scotty Morrison was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in the builders' category in 1999 and became a Stanley Cup trustee in 2002.
     
  Geoff Ringrose
Geoff Ringrose is the Director of Marketing for the CAHC and the current liaison between the CAHC’s Executive and Advisory Boards. His primary role has been to expand and promote the CAHC’s sponsorship initiative, and to help implement the Regional and Junior Development programs. Geoff is a Sunwing Airlines Boeing 737 Captain with more than 15 years of experience in the aviation industry. He remains active in the community as the president of the local soccer association, and enjoys coaching both minor hockey and soccer.
